چکیده

Pakistan is one of the world’s leading producers, exporters, and consumers rice. This study analyzes technical efficiency rice growing farmers in Swat district Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Pakistan. A three-stage sampling procedure was used to interview 204 growers through a well-structured pretested schedule. The maximum likelihood function results showed that chemicals, urea, diammonium phosphate (DAP), labor, farmyard manure (FYM-dummy) were positive had statistically significant effect on yield; this implies 1% increase DAP, FYM leads an production by 0.22%, 0.25%, 0.02%, 0.03%, 0.01%, respectively. estimated model 2 reported respondents’ age inefficiency, showing with rise farmers’ age, inefficiency significantly increased. education experience negative significant, implying these variables decreased inefficiency. Furthermore, mean as 87%, minimum 66% 99%. recommends extension department needs arrange training programs for specific area boost yield, enhance agronomic skills, facilitate knowledge efficient production.
